Summary:
The Applications Analyst is responsible for implementing, configuring, and programming
 software and systems to meet business requirements. The Analyst typically works with 
business unit leaders to discern their needs and implements solutions using various 
productivity applications but specializing in the company’s Telephony system. Some of 
the work entails software configuration but programming is be required. The ability to 
work independently and self-educate in a highly autonomous and unsupervised setting
 is required. This position requires an BS in Computer Science and at least five years of 
experience helping users and business units meet their needs through COTS systems 

and applications. 

Responsibilities:
•Implementing, configuring, and programming software systems to meet business
requirements.
•Working with business unit leaders to discern their needs and implements solutions
 for optimum operating environment
•Installing, registering, configuring, and programming applications.
•Managing user accounts as required by applications.
•Administering desktops including O/S, Driver, and application installations, patches,
 and ongoing support. 
•Developing training curriculum, guides, and instructions and conducting user training in
 one-to-one and group settings
•Developing and maintaining a separate testing environment for system including providing 
technical leadership and conduct regular performance and system testing
•Working with 3rd party consultants, contractors, and service providers for supported 
applications – including problem resolution and escalating as necessary
•Installing and supporting new client and server software infrastructure
•Providing information to Operations group regarding licensing, hardware, and software 
needs for future planning and budgeting
•Providing technical support to users with very different levels of IT knowledge and competence
•Work closely with other teams for problem resolution and project coordination
•Available during regular hours of operation for response to system issues/failures
•Available during non-business hours of operation for system issues/failures

•Other duties and projects as assigned by Director

•Determine business needs and solve those needs with software applications
•Be responsive to changing business needs and technical requirements
•Ability to work independently or in a team environment
•Self-organize and prioritize without constant supervision or direction.
•Ability to self-educate in a highly autonomous and unsupervised setting
•Develop effective training materials.

•Ability to effectively and efficiently train and educate end users. 

Education Requirement:
•Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science;
•5+ years of applicable experience
•Knowledge and experience with Microsoft client and server operating systems.

•Experience with applications running Windows Server, SQL and all windows operating systems
