Cycle3 IT Staffing is seeking a Cloud Services Manager for a full time permanent role.

 

 

General Purpose:

Lead the day-to-day activities of the Cloud Services team who provides system administration support functions to a 250-300 server environment consisting of a hybrid infrastructure of on-premise as well as an extensive Microsoft Azure environment. Manage the planning, analysis, troubleshooting, integration, installation, configuration, operations, and maintenance of operating system on servers. Ensure the short- and long-term requirements of systems operations and administration are included in the overall information systems planning of the organization. Implement operating system enhancements that will improve the reliability and performance of the system. Apply deep technical understanding and expertise of cloud services and integration to on-premise as well as PaaS and SaaS offerings. Coach, mentor, and provide performance evaluations to your team members on an ongoing basis.

 

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead and direct the day-to-day activities of the Cloud Services team
  • Ensure that cloud services team meets the SLA’s as established with the business and application teams
  • Lead the all activities in the ITIL (Technology Infrastructure Library) cycle from service introduction, service delivery, problem management, and service optimization
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to team members
  • Work closely with the Cloud Architect and supporting teams to ensure seamless integration of technologies
  • Work with operations team to ensure effective automation and orchestration is put in place
  • Ensure the infrastructure is running at the most cost effective price point
  • Conduct regular one-on-one and coaching sessions to team members
  • Prepare team member goals and conduct annual reviews
  • Work with team members to develop career growth and training plans
  • Ensure compliance of processes and activities with corporate standards and policies
  • Provide leadership for troubleshooting and system performance initiatives

Minimum Requirements:

Education and Experience

  • Computer Science or Information Technology Degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • 7+ years of Windows administration experience in a large scale enterprise
  • 4+ years of experience leading a team of at least three people in a technology organization
  • Proven track record of successful cloud implementations
  • Experience driving projects to completion
  • Experience with deployments to the Azure environment
  • Familiarity with key enterprise applications such as SAP and SQL server preferred
  • Certification and/or License – ITIL certification

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Azure operations, procedures, and reporting
  • Knowledge of hybrid-cloud setup and integration
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server operating system
  • Knowledge of SQL Server database administration
  • Knowledge of system disaster recovery process
  • Understanding of system administration and development life cycle methodologies
  • Understanding of performance tuning
  • Skill in leadership and coaching

  • Able to communicate and translate complex technical topics into easy to understand concepts
