Cycle3 IT Staffing is seeking several Network Engineers (Levels 1- 3) for permanent full time opportunities. (*See recruiter for Level 1 and 2 job descriptions)
In the Level 3 Network Engineer role you will provide expert applicable knowledge in designing, implementing, and testing complex infrastructure and application hosting architectures in support of customer needs. The Level 3 Network Engineer also should be able to capture, document, and utilize customer and technical requirements to support projects from initiation through production turnover. You will assist Level 5 System Administrators in translating client needs into specific technical requirements that are agreed upon with the line of business and team members ultimately responsible for operating them.
Provide onsite and remote support to our clients who have critical response time requirements for their business technology systems. You will work independently and as part of a team to answer service desk calls, urgently analyze technical issues, troubleshoot over the phone/onsite/via remote access, address Level 2 escalations, work with Project Manager on team related projects.
You will successfully demonstrate the skills required to secure and manage network infrastructures to protect productivity, mitigate threats, and reduce costs.
Provide operational security services in support of the customer infrastructure and be involved in one or more of the following areas: firewall administration and support, proxy server administration and support, VPN administration and issue resolution.
You will be responsible for a healthy queue and overall board management. Assist with scheduling cases or on sites as needed. Help identify systemic proactive problems and solve them efficiently. You will review client networks and tickets to point out problematic issues that require a solution. You also will perform service and preventative maintenance activities on products, and assist in installations and deliveries. Assist the Service Director in meeting daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual goals.
You will assist in supporting a variety of networks and end-user environments with executives, business owners, managers, and end users. You must demonstrate superior communication skills to respond to diverse clients with urgent needs while recognizing most are looking for solutions, not technical explanations. You must have a willingness to provide courteous, personal service to end users regardless of technical ability or company title. Other projects may be assigned.
· Technical Skills
o Advanced server support skills and understanding of Windows 2003, Windows 2008, and Windows 2012 in a complex network
o Secure administrative access on network devices
o Implement and troubleshoot firewall technologies using ASA
o Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot SonicWALL devices
o Ability to effectively utilize network monitoring software
o Advanced experience in configuring and implementing VLAN, VTP, LAN switching, STP and 802.x authentication in access layer switches
o Advanced knowledge and experience in routing protocol configurations (RIP, EIGRP, OSPF, and BGP)
o Physical cabling, IP addressing, subnetting, multicasting, and CIDR
o Knowledge and experience in WAN technologies including E1, E3, T1, ISDN/PRI, HDLC, Point to Point, PSTN, and DSL
o Advanced understanding of IPv4 and IPv6 protocols
o Configure and monitor Cisco intrusion prevention systems
o Expert utilization of SonicWALL Global Management System (GMS)
o Develop Cisco ASA VPN features to reduce risk to IT infrastructure
o Security software such as Anti-virus, Anti-SPAM, Anti-Spyware, and other security related technologies
