The Program Manager will be a project position, expected to be 2-3 years in duration, which is expected to lead to significant career opportunities and a future key role at the company once the project is successfully completed. The position will be located at the Kansas City headquarters. Relocation, if applicable, will be required.
The candidate should also possess strong interpersonal and people management competencies with demonstrated project management, business process, and analytical thinking skills. This position requires someone who is extremely collaborative, confident and competent – an individual who leads by example; someone who continually raises the bar on quality, design, attitude, enthusiasm, and accountability. The position requires a strong self-starter who can deliver consistently at a tactical level. Strong communication and administrative skills are a must.
The successful candidate will have extensive experience in managing large scale SAP implementations. They will have advanced working knowledge of the SAP applications/data environment as well as excellent systems and business process analysis, portfolio management, and communication skills. Extensive knowledge and experience within the manufacturing sector and/or fluid milk marketing, specific knowledge of the food and beverage industry, and an understanding of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma are preferred.
The Program Manager will work closely with the VP-Business Integration to own and lead Project ONE and will be responsible for its success, including enabling and attaining business goals and benefits, meeting deadlines, and operating within budget. The Program Manager will provide leadership for the day-to-day operational and administrative activities of Project ONE, including working with a third party systems integrator as well as an infrastructure outsourcer. This position directs, leads, and advises staff; utilizes planning, analytical, and tool set knowledge and skills to effectively assess, define and deliver systems and solutions to the business in the SAP environment.
Bachelor degree in the field of computer science, information technology or business administration
Project ONE is the company’s enterprise transformation program, which is a multiyear effort to streamline business processes and replace the current business applications systems with SAP. Overall project objectives include improving organizational effectiveness and efficiency and the leveraging SAP to help support alignment and integration of people, processes and technology across the company.
Day-to-day management of the program and project team members
Function as primary technical authority in major program/business decisions
Participate in leadership alignment, support planning and execution
Review and make recommendations regarding changes to scope, schedule and cost
Function as proponent to drive change through the organization
Provides leadership for the COE Production Support Team and project technical team
10+ years progressive management experience in a manufacturing and/or fluid milk marketing environment
Program Manager for at least one full cycle of an SAP implementation required
Exceptional communication skills, with ability to communicate both up and down in the organization. Comfortable presenting to large and small groups, while making technical issues understandable to a non-technical audience
Proven decision-making skills. Able to make well-informed and reasoned decisions in a short period of time
Strong leadership skills, with ability to motivate and lead group in times of stress, short deadlines and pressure for results
Knowledgeable of manufacturing best practices
Minimum 3 years experience in SAP 4.7 or higher, with SAP experience related to SD, MM, PP, FI, CO, WM, PM, QM, BW, BOBJ, PI in a manufacturing business
