Project Manager (Business Intelligence experience)

Responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating activities for all Business Intelligence (BI) projects to ensure that project goals are accomplished with predictability, consistency, and efficiency, and within the prescribed time frames and constraints. They will coordinate with all team members and management to develop project specifics and regulate all project activities from definition to close out. They will coordinate all requests for products (reports and/or data) and proactively manage to ensure timely and successful completion, prepare documentation on all activities within the BI Department.

Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute necessary project management processes. Creates project plans and associated documentation, including project charters, project scopes, project tasks, breakdown structures, resource plans, and work plans
Coordinate and document business and technical requirements, timelines, and execution plans
Controls projects to appropriate corrective action is taken when a project is not executed according to plan
Proactively manage the execution of projects and ensure their successful, timely, and accurate progression and completion
Closes projects ensuring requirements have been met, project materials are properly archived, lessons learned have been addressed, contracts are closed, and resources are properly releases
Plan various meetings and coordinate agendas with different group projects
Schedule and facilitate business partner and team member meetings
Track and procure all necessary resources that are needed to complete projects
Monitor and direct activities of internal and external processes to see projects through completion
Supervise by passing on pertinent information to employees as needed in addition to discussing schedule and project responsibilities
Informs BI executives of project statuses and issues so that projects are strategically aligned and departmental goals and objectives are achieved
Ensures that all team members submit updates for weekly publishing
Suggest and implement continuous process improvement for the BI Department
Capture, analyze, and document business user requirements
Suggests and implements continuous process improvement for the BI Department
Research issues, analyze data and products, and recommend solutions
Additional duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in related field
Four to ten years experience as a professional project manager, including supervisory responsibilities
At least 3 years prior work experience in a Business Intelligence role
Experience with at least one industry standard project management methodology and systems development lifecycle (e.g. Rational Unified Process TM)
Knowledge of MS Office and MS Project software
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills
Project Management Professional Certification
