Cycle3 IT Staffing is seeking a consultant to fill the role of Senior Software QA Tester. Listed below are the primary responsibilities, a listing of preferred experience, and additional notes.
Primary Responsibilities for the Role
Ø Review Tech project documentation (requirements, high-level design, test scenarios, use cases)
Ø Interview the appropriate Business Analyst and/or Rules Analyst to ensure a level of understanding sufficient to review and create new test cases specific to the functionality under test
Ø Resource will work with the software testing team as a subject matter expert explaining how functionality will be utilized by the client
Ø Review existing test cases for specific functionality to ensure that test cases completely exercise the functionality under test
Ø Update existing test cases for specific functionality (where necessary) to more completely exercise the functionality under test
Ø Create new test cases for specific functionality ensuring that test cases fully exercise the functionality under test
Ø Execute new and existing test cases for specific functionality (as defined by the test plan)
Ø Document test results and report issues encountered during testing
Ø Additional software testing tasks as specified
Experience requested – 1 of these 4
This: Experience and/or working knowledge of AURA software and associated underwriting rules as implemented for clients (generally speaking, 5+ years minimum)
Or This: Business and/or IT experience within the life insurance industry processing applications (generally speaking, 5+ years minimum)
Or This: Experience with software testing and Quality Assurance as a test lead (generally speaking, 3+ years as a lead and an additional 5+ years in software testing as a minimum)
Or This: Experience with software testing and Quality Assurance utilizing at least one testing methodology (generally speaking, 8-10 years minimum)
Ø This role is being added due to expansion within the QA team.
Ø This role is offered as part of the revision of process within the QA Team. The plan includes realistic and attainable goals and expectations without the need for consistent overtime to meet deliverables.
Ø There is room within this role for the resource to take on additional responsibility but that is not a primary requirement at this time.
Ø Advanced soft skills are required (communication, MS-Office toolsets, etc.)
