Summary:

Designs and constructs web pages/sites including incorporating graphic user interface (GUI)
features and other techniques.  Designs, develops, and implements software packages for 
web sites. Troubleshoots, debugs, and implements software code.  Require a bachelor's 
degree in a related area and 7 years of experience in the field or in a related area as 
well as a familiarity with standard concepts, practices and procedures within a particular 
field. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals while performing

a variety of tasks.

Responsibilities:
 •Participate in a collaborative team environment functioning within the SCRUM (agile) 
methodology
•Express recommendations based on client desires, product architecture, cost, quality, 
and delivery timelines
•Experience developing thin-client solutions utilizing HTML, XHTML, ASP, VB.Net, AJAX, 
HTTP, HTTPS, JavaScript, and XML
•Perform some administration of Windows-based server platforms including IIS administration
•Advanced SQL skills and object/relational persistence strategies
•Perform DBA functions such as building data models, database designs, DB performance 
resolution, replication and tuning.
•Research and apply new DB tools and deployment strategies
•Posses advanced knowledge of DB procedures and triggers
•Posses knowledge of DB recovery and backup strategies
•Apply Object-Oriented Design strategies and patterns
•Interact, contribute to and ensure cross-team and cross-department cooperation
•Present ideas and solutions to small or large audiences of customers and upper management
•Apply initiative and leadership on new architecture projects 
•Rotational on-call duties for after-hours development support
•Research, evaluation and implementation of web security
•Design and deploy applications that protect data from unauthorized use and track security violations

•Work with customers and technology vendors to maximize opportunities in company's Web-based presence

 

Skills Required:

•Proven abilities to design, develop, and deploy ASP thin-client solutions for mission critical

applications
•Proven abilities to explore, learn, and implement new technologies

•Proven abilities to build and evaluate various architectures

 

Education Requirements:

 

•Prefer a degree in computer science or related field
•7+ years experience in software engineering
•5+ years experience with architecting, building, and deploying Microsoft thin-client applications

•2+ years experience with SQL Server
