Data Integration Specialist/Consultant (Informatica)

 

 

Cycle3 IT Staffing is seeking a Data Integration Specialist/Consultant for a long term role. Candidate should have a strong background in Informatica Data Replication.

 

Skills:

 

Expert knowledge of one or more data integration and replication tools such as Informatica, Datastage, Infosphere, Talend. Strong database administration experience desired as well (DB2 preferred). 

 

TECHNICAL:

 

·         Expert knowledge of one or more data integration and replication tools such as Informatica, Datastage, Infosphere, Talend. Strong database administration experience desired as well (DB2 preferred).

·         Ability to work within a team environment and communicate effectively with others

·         Represent the Data Services team on complex projects with business analysts and application developers.

·         Promote data integration best practices and new features to developers during application design and implementation.

·         Ability to mentor others, including peers and application developers, as well as clearly explain complex technical issues to business analysts and end users.

·         Understanding of logical and physical data modeling design concepts.

·         Ability to monitor and troubleshoot the “end to end” data integration environment comprised ofdata sources, data workflows and transformations, operating systems, applications, app servers, networks, etc.

·         Proficiency in coding moderate to complex SQL logic as part of data extraction processes.

·         Ability to write moderately complex shell scripts (using ksh, perl, php, etc) to support data integration tasks, database maintenance, automation and testing.

·         Ability to make decisions and demonstrate problem solving skills, analysis, prioritization and risk taking.

·         Ability to plan and execute a project to completion.

·         Demonstrate personal ownership of assignments.

·         Proactively raise and resolve issues.

·         Strong ability to multitask.

 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: 

Bachelors degree required.

Several years experience in a senior Data Integration, Data Architect or Database Administrator role supporting 24×7 business production environments.
