Cycle3 IT Staffing is seeking an Oracle DBA for a permanent role in Arkansas.
The Oracle DBA is responsible for the overall performance of the Oracle database environment. Works with multiple teams to keep the database system running at optimal efficiency for our clients. Is responsible for assisting with the Oracle backup strategy, implementing patches and upgrades, and ensuring our future database hardware needs are met.
- Assists in Oracle scaling efforts for a growing customer base
- Assists in the design and maintenance of backup strategies
- Conducts complex Query tuning for n-tier, mission critical, customer facing web applications
- Converts customer data from the legacy Sybase Anywhere DBMS product to the Oracle DBMS product
- Supports daily operations, including job monitoring and troubleshooting of the 24×7 production environment
- Keeps the database up to date on patches
- Supports the rollout of new product versions
- Manages the storage capacity of the system
- Secures the data stored within the Oracle DBMS
- Consults with project sponsors regarding information flow and content, including the facilitation of information gathering sessions
- Assists in the development and maintenance of data architecture, data management standards and conventions, data dictionaries, data element naming standards and data dictionary metadata standards
- Coordinates activities related to data planning and recovery
QUALIFICATIONS
- 4+ years DBA experience with Oracle (11.1 or 11.2 preferred)
- Working knowledge of data modeling
