Cycle3 IT Staffing is seeking (4) System Administrators for a contract to hire opportunity.
We need 4 consultants to cover 2 shifts. Shift one is from 3 pm to midnight and the second shift is midnight to 8 am.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The System Administrator (SA) is responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related infrastructure. This individual participates in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure. This individual ensures that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures support the business.
This individual will assist project teams with technical issues in the initiation and planning phases of projects. These activities include technical strategy; research & development within the project life-cycle; technical analysis and design, testing and rolling-out the solutions.
This individual is accountable for the following systems: Linux and Windows systems that support the company website; Linux, Windows and Application systems that support the business; Responsibilities on these systems include support, maintenance and research and development to ensure a stable environment to support the business.
CANDIDATE WILL POSESS;
· 3+ years demonstrated knowledge in administering an Exchange 20032010 environment, along with mailbox policy implements and email archiving best-practices;
· 3+ years demonstrated knowledge of storage architecture platforms (EMC, IBM, 3PAR, NetApp) and file archiving methods;
· 3+ years administering and maintaining Linux Environment;
· 3+ years of administration experience for Windows Server 2003/2008 versions;
· 3+ years demonstrated knowledge of virtual platforms and architectures; including VMWare ESX/ESXi, and Microsoft Hyper-V
· 3+ years knowledge of Citrix Environments
· 3+ years knowledge of Windows 2003/2008 Active Directory domain structures and administering users, objects, groups, roles, and permissions;
· 3+ years demonstrated knowledge of Antivirus applications, preferably Trend MicroSymantec technologies;
· Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects;
· Demonstrated experience in routing & switching utilizing various protocols & methods.
· Understanding of common backup and restore procedures, preferably as it relates to AvamarCommvault;
· Excellent written and oral communication skills;
· Organizational and time management skills;
· Excellent interpersonal skills;
· Ability to multi-task in fast paced environment;
· Proven ability to take a given task and work independently and as part of a team to bring the task to completion;
· Excellent ability to trouble shoot methodologies and solve issues to meeting deadlines;
· Confidently introduce ideas and participate in detailed technological discussions;
· MCSE, RHCE, A+, and Network+ certifications preferred not required;
· Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects;
POSITION DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs.
· Perform regular security monitoring to identify any possible intrusions.
· Perform daily backup operations, ensuring all required file systems and system data are successfully backed up to the appropriate media, recovery tapes or disks are created, and media is recycled and sent off site as necessary.
· Perform regular file archival and purge as necessary.
· Create, change, and delete user accounts per request.
· Provide Tier III/other support per request from various business partners. Investigate and troubleshoot issues.
· Repair and recover from hardware or software failures. Coordinate and communicate with impacted business partners.
· Apply OS patches and upgrades on a regular basis, and upgrade administrative tools and utilities. Configure / add new services as necessary.
· Upgrade and configure system software that supports the business applications or Asset Management applications per project or operational needs.
· Maintain operational, configuration, or other procedures.
· Perform periodic performance reporting to support capacity planning.
· Perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization as required. Configure CPU, memory, and disk partitions as required.
· Maintain data center environment and monitoring equipment.
