Primary Duty is to work with LAN servers and multiple hardware and software platforms.

 

Job Description:

 

You will be responsible for;

 

  • Designing, installing, configuring, and maintaining the organization’s LAN servers and working with multiple hardware and software platforms at the intermediate level.

 

  • Managing disaster recovery functions for the LAN servers; organizing off-site storage necessary for recovery processes and overseeing development of recovery procedures; and installing, configuring, testing, and implementing server applications.

 

  • Install server applications
  • Train users and establish detailed procedures for training and reference.
  •  Monitor server events, including nightly back ups.
  •  Review and develop procedures and document resolutions.
  •  Support training for less experienced analysts.
  • Install and configure servers.

  • Suggest hardware standards.

  • Responsible for virus protection administration to all servers and workstations.

  • Responsible for server backups and restores.

  • Schedule system maintenance.

  • Maintain server hardware.

  • Regular attendance is considered an essential job function.

  • Troubleshoot PC hardware problems.

  • Perform networking duties as assigned.

  • Act as backup to Manager, Network Operations, in the absence of a Senior Systems Administrator.
