We have an immediate opening in an engineering department for an experienced Visual Basic Programmer. This position involves creation, implementation and maintenance of VB6 and VB.NET applications, including troubleshooting and technical phone support. Projects may also include migrating applications from VB6 to VB.NET.
Requirements
• Qualified candidates should have a technical degree and be proficient in VB.NET and VB6 with a strong database background.
• Candidates must be team oriented with strong interpersonal skills and possess the ability to work independently and cooperatively.
• Candidates must also be analytical and have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Minimum 3 years of Visual Basic development experience is preferred. Experience with MS SQL, AS/400 and conversion of VB6 to VB.NET a plus.
